About the Authors
Robin and Michael Mastro are the leading experts in North America in the sacred science of Vastu Shastra. Robin Mastro MA has a degree in Art from Mills College in California. She has instructed hundreds of people worldwide how to enhance living and working environments and create self-empowering altars in their homes and offices. Her work in this inspiring new field took her to Egypt and India, where she studied ancient concepts of sacred space and Vastu Shastra. In 1998 she received her degree in Whole Systems Design from Antioch University, combining systems theory and creative design to develop transformative tools for environmental harmony and personal growth. Robin is dedicated to adapting the wisdom of ancient systems to enhance the reality of modern life. She is the creator of AltarWear™, a jewelry and clothing line based on Vedic teachings. Michael Mastro is an award-winning architect, president of Global construction, and highly qualified expert on the art and science of Vastu Shastra. Renowned spiritual teacher, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, asked Michael, who has been meditating for over 35 years, to design spiritual centers worldwide in the late 1970’s. As an award winning architect, he then studied the principles of Vastu Shastra, the ancient Vedic system of placement believed to precede and possibly form the basis of the Chinese art of Feng Shui, and applied them to building living environments in harmony with nature. In the process, he became one of the leading Western experts on the art and science of Vastu Shastra. Michael’s company built the first Microsoft office building with the orientation and placement designed according to Vastu Shastra.
